Dr. P’s Week 4 Picks

Bears –10 over Lions
The Winning steak ends at 1. Bears win big at home.
Fantasy Alert: W.D. Forte gets his first touchdown.
Bengals –6 over Browns
Cinci is one immaculation deflection away from being 3-0, and the Browns will be lucky to get to 3 wins this season. The Bengals’ balanced offense will score with ease Sunday.
Fantasy Alert: Braylon will get double-digit targets with Anderson at the helm
Texans –9.5 over Raiders
I’ll take the Texans’ explosive offense at home after a tough loss. Houston does have a lot of flaws on the defensive side of the ball but Oakland does not have the weapons to duplicate what MJD did against the Texans last week.
Fantasy Alert: Kevin Walter should have another good game while Andre deals with Nnamdi Asomugha
Colts –10.5 over Seahawks
Peyton will pick apart the Seattle defense at home
Fantast Alert: Donald Brown = ROY
Titans –3 over Jags
Tennessee played tough at the Jets last week but came up short thanks to a muffed punt late in the game. Jeff Fisher will not allow his team to go 0-4. Titans win by a score.
Fantasy Alert: David Garrard should take advantage of a banged up Titans secondary.
Giant –9 over Chiefs
Kansas City will struggle to move the ball against the Giants D.
Fantasy Alert: Ahmad Bradshaw is a solid fantasy play, especially in blowouts
Patriots –2 over Ravens
The emergence of the running game makes the Patriots tough to beat, especially at home. I think the Ravens are still one of the best teams in football but they lose a close one here.
Fantasy Alert: McGahee should steal more touchdowns from Ray Rice again if Vince Wilfork is still hurt
Bucs +7 over Skins
Definitely not one of the games to look forward to on Sunday’s slate of games. Both teams are bad, I think a change at the quarterback position for Tampa keeps this game close.
Fantasy Alert: Pass
Bills –2 over Dolphins
B.O. will get more looks after whining about not getting a catch last week and I think it will help Buffalo’s chances. The Bills are hurt on D (Whitner out) but the Dolphins would have not traded for Tyler Thigpen if they thought starter Chad Henne was ready.
Fantasy Alert: Keep the Ice Man in your lineups despite the return of Marshawn
Jets +7 over Saints
I underestimated Sanchez picking against the Jets last week and I’m not going to do it again. Brees will have his second consecutive average game and I think the Jets will win the second most intriguing match-up of the weekend.
Fantasy Alert: Breakout game for Leon Washington
Broncos +3 over Cowboys
Denver is probably the worst 3-0 team but they do have a solid defense and the Cowboys running attack is banged up. I’m taking the Broncos in an upset at home.
Fantasy Alert: Not a lot of offensive fireworks in this game
Niners –10 over Rams
San Fran will come out strong at home after falling victim to the heroics of the Favre Dollar Footlong last week.
Fantasy Alert: Glen Coffee gets a nice match-up in Gore’s absence
Chargers +7 over Steelers
The Steelers running game could continue to struggle with Fast Willie dealing turf toe and I think the Pittsburgh D will have trouble stopping Rivers and VJax without Polomalu. The Steelers have only one INT this year by you know who.
Fantasy Alert: The Lightning Bug will make a big play
Vikings –3.5 over Packers
ESPN has been waiting for this moment since “Chilly” picked Brett up at the airport; I’ll be watching the game on mute. I think Mr. Peterson is going to steal the show and the Vikings win at home.
Fantasy Alert: Rodgers will out-perform his mentor
