It is very interesting that you failed to mention probably the most important series of events from yesterday . . . . especially considering your personal strong liking of irony, coincidences, and general eerieness.

The Packers lost 2 pro bowl defensive players for the year in one 1/2 of football.

Cornerback Al Harris, Texas A&M Kingsville alumn, same school as his agent btw, an elite player at the toughest position in football, tore his ACL and is done for the year. Since Harris came to the packers in 2003 he has been a staple of the defense and even on the weeks eve of his 35th birthday he is the toughest, most physical corner in all of football.

The Packers also lost pro bowl DE/LB Aaron Kampman for the year. The former Iowa star had been steadily progressing in the switch from DE to OLB in Dom Capers' 3-4 defense and finally looked truly comfortable in his position.

Where do the pack go from here ? Truthfully I am mostly comfortable with Brad Smith or Desmond Bishop filling in for Kampman . . . but Tramon Williams as a starter ? Jarret Bush as the nickel corner ? He would make a better grocery store stockboy than a nickel corner . . . he really is thaaaaaaaaat bad. Oh, and the Packers play the nickel 60% of the time so far in 2009. And some guy named underwood as the dime corner ? Not good.
