Kickers Are Not Allowed To Strut!
The Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League won their home opener at the Allstate Arena and moved to 2-0 on the young AFL season thanks to the fantastic play their kicker, Chris Gould.
Gould, who is the brother of the Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould, easily gets my MVP for the week after winning the game for the Rush with 8 PATs and the game winning field goal with no time left.
But it was a special teams play of Gould that really got my attention.
The Rush were up 56-49 on the Cleveland Gladiators about midway through the 4th quarter and Gould not only delivered a fantastic hit but he also kept return man Brent Holmes from returning the kickoff for a touchdown.
As Holmes comes out of the end zone after the kickoff, it looks like he’s in for some big yards. At around the 10 yard line, Holmes breaks free and cuts to the left and you know he’s thinking he’s got this. He’s just gotta get around that kicker.
Now kickers usually don’t make a tackle on the play much less one of the best ones of the year. Gould gets Holmes down low and sends Holmes flipping through the air.
And after the big hit, Gould does a little, cocky strut.
Kickers are not allowed to strut!

Your blog is pretty interesting to me and your subject matter is very relevant. I was browsing around and came across something you might find interesting. I was guilty of 3 of them with my sites. “99% of site owners are committing these 5 HUGE errors”. http://is.gd/5Ruq1b You will be suprised how simple they are to fix.
