49ers Nate Davis Launches Pass 65 Yards [video]

August 23, 2010- Capt. Gridiron

SF 49ers NFL Huddles MascotThe San Francisco 49ers third-string QB Nate Davis got plenty of playing time in Monday nights preseason matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. For the most part Davis was the best QB on the field but it was hard to noticed that because all the talk that night was “Favre, Favre, Favre….”

In between talk about how great Favre is there was a fantastic play by Davis which lit up the stadium. In a play which had Davis standing at his own goal line, Davis tosses up a monster pass that flew about 65-yards down to a wide open Ted Ginn, Jr.

The best part about the play is not the athleticism from Davis. This is the guy who was a two-time MAC Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

No, the best part of the play is that Ginn actually held onto the ball. Amazing.

Here’s a clip of the Davis’ sick pass followed by a clip of 49ers coach Mike Singletary before the drive telling Davis to go out there and make the team proud.
