Here Comes Jesus : Don’t Cuss At Reggie White
Mike and Mike In The Morning host Mike Golic has one of the best jobs around hosting his morning sports show on ESPN. He also had a nice career playing defensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles during the days Reggie White dominated the D-line there.
For those of you that might be too young to remember, the late Reggie White was nicknamed “The Minister of Defense” due to him actually being a minister.
With former Colts coach Tony Dungy mouthing off about the dirty mouth of the Jets coach Rex Ryan, Golic reflected on his days with White and how Reggie handled cussing in the locker room.
What we have learned here is you can cuss AROUND Reggie White but don’t cuss AT Reggie White. Take a listen.
Jets head coach Rex Ryan says he has been “unfairly judged” by Tony Dungy. Dungy, who coached the Colts to a win in Super Bowl XLI, criticized Ryan for his profanity on HBO’s Hard Knocks, saying the language is unnecessary. Like Dungy, NFL great, the late Reggie White also didn’t appreciate cursing. We have proof. This morning on ESPN Radio, White’s former teammate Mike Golic recalled a preseason game when the “Minister of Defense” heard one too many cuss words from the opposition. You don’t want to miss this story.
