Something Extra Penalty [video]

Pittsburgh Steelers DB Keenan Lewis gets flagged on a play during Sunday Nights Preseason game with the Denver Broncos. Whatever he did was not appreciated by the ref who simply stated to it as “something extra at the end of the play.”

Judging by the hand motion of the ref, I can guess what the ‘something extra’ might be.

Check out the video below and keep an eye out for Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin who looks a bit confused by the call.

Now this call of course brings up some great memories of refs making odd calls. The king is “Giving Him The Business” as seen here in this ACC game years back. I think “Giving Him The Business” is a bit different in “something extra at the end of the play” in that the player uses both hands when giving the business.
