Two Girls, One Cup. Lesbian Couple Booted from Ravens Game

Two women were ejected from a September 26th game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore for what security guards are saying as a theft of a plastic cup. The women are a couple who state they were ejected for kissing in public and that the security guards ejected them for being lesbians.
OK. It’s not quite the 2 Girls, 1 Cup story you might be looking for but it is sure to disgust a few lawyers at NFL headquarters.
Mary Kate Morris and Nicole Marchetto were waiting in line for the restroom and ordered some fries. They used a plastic cup to hold their ketchup. I know, right? How dare they! That’s horrible.
The girls began kissing in what they describe as a “casual kissing.” Almost immediately, she said, a security guard and a supervisor told the women to “stop making a scene.”
Soon afterwards, the security guard demanded to see their driver’s licenses, and then the women were told to leave the stadium immediately. When they asked why they had to leave, the guard accused them of first stealing the cup from the concession stand and then accused them of stealing the beer. A Baltimore police officer intervened and told the guards the couple did not steal the beer. The couple has receipts for all the purchases.
I’m pretty sure that kissing in public is not worth an ejection. Maybe bumping and grinding and causing a scene but not kissing. It seems like there’s some bit of the story missing here and why, if the cup was such a pivotal item that would result in this happening to anyone getting booted, could it not be paid for and everyone move on.

You are right..there is something missing from the story….like the OTHER side. Someting REAL journalists would report on rather than just blindly accepting one side of the story.

As a rational human being, it is almost impossible for me to comprehend the mindset of these guards. It is as if they have a hollow shell of a value system that they are following blindly because they learned to do so at a young age. Critical reasoning and unbiased judgement calls would be too much for their feable brains to comprehend. P.S.- CNN, you are not off the hook here. The follow-through on this article is nonexistent. Instead of speculating what people think, you have an obligation to ask them.

What other side you fool. he talked about both the allegation and the defense and even a third party account. Were you looking for the janitor’s side of the story? Or perhaps you’re upset that the writer didn’t describe what was happening in the game at the time of the scene? before yelling bias, maybe read more than just the headline?

Picking your nose in public isn’t against the law but most people have enough manners and respect, for themselves and others, to not do it. Most people know PDA’s are gross displays. Gays seem to want to make everyone see their sexual attraction in ways that most hetorosexuals know are just rude. Just like you wouldn’t want to see an elderly couple making out, we also don’t want to see gay’s making out. It’s gross and rude to children and families that are out to enjoy themselves. Gays seem to be obsessed with being watched. Gay pride parades are a perfect example. It’s not the gay part that makes you a perv, it’s your constant need to be watched.

Set aside from the perceptible hatred that’s shown from the security guard, what makes this story so sad & disgusting are the small-minded, judgemental & illiterate individuals who comment on it. No offense but look at your calender it’s almost 2011! I understand some may be stuck in the “17th Century” but regardless if you like it or not…LOVE..has no limitations, boundaries, or rules.
