Monday Morning GIFs with Mr. Glass

Another wild weekend of NFL action is in the books. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights courtesy of our Monday Morning GIFs.

The Lions miss an extra point. No big deal, right?

Well take a closer look at who just missed that kick. Lions rookie defensive end Suh attempted an extra point when Jason Hanson was hurt, and hit the right upright. I’m not sure why they chose Suh or if he has a history of kicking extra points. Guess he’s trying to suck up for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Suh wasn’t the only fish out of water this Sunday. Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker stepped up to show his kicking abilities. Unlike the slacker Suh, Welker nails his kick.

The Lions Matthew Stafford has only been in the league for a couple of years but he’s not gonna be around many more unless he can get his shoulder fixed. Stafford has already missed most of this season and parts of last for a shoulder injury. This tackle didn’t look like much but it was enough to injure….Mr. Glass!

The Colts Austin Collie is resting comfortably with a concussion after this scary hit Sunday night. The hit looked worse than it was as Collie was carried off safely with a back board. Later it was revealed his spine was alright and that he suffered a nasty concussion.

Now that he’s safe, we can joke. Do Matthew Stafford, the Chicago Cubs pitching staff and the Colts wide receivers share the same physical trainers?

I’ve never seen a bunch of guys (Collie not included, concussions don’t count) who can’t play more than 3 games without getting inured.

And last but not least, the San Diego Chargers continue to show that their decision to hire Benny Hill’s choreographer to coach their special teams is paying off.

This isn’t a repeat of last week or the Oakland game. The Chargers let another blocked punt go to their opponent.

It was the Chargers fifth blocked punt of the season. You guys are turds!
