Chargers Walters 103-yard Kickoff Return for TD Starts Preseason
Football is back, baby! The NFL Preseason is in gear and the highlights are starting to roll in. The first great clip of the post-lockout drama comes courtesty of the Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers and if you watched the Chargers special teams last year (or lack of it) you’ll be pleasently surpised that the Bolts returned a long kick for a TD.
Looking to fill the loss of return man Darren Sproles, the Chargers stuck Bryan Walters from Cornell into the lineup. Walters responded with a brilliant 103-yard TD return thanks to a bit of a balancing act around midfield.
The only person on the field faster than Walters was special-teams coach Rich Bisaccia, who was a bit excited along the sideline in the the Seahawks’ 24-17 victory over San Diego. It’s good to see the NFL back, even if we’re talking preseason here.
