Epic, Emotional Vernon Davis Moment

With just 10 seconds left in the game, San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis pulled down one of the most important catches made in a playoff game. On the field that saw the infamous Joe Montana to Dwight Clark pass named “The Catch,” it’s only fitting that we would see the resurgence of the one relevant Niners with a similar play.
Three TDs were scored in the last couple of play minutes and Davis, the former first round draft pick, caught this beauty to cap the game. On the game-winning drive, Davis also caught a crucial 47-yard catch to put his team in this position.
After the catch, an emotional Davis burst out in tears as teammates hugged and congratulated him on the sidelines. Even coach Jim Harbaugh came over and hugged his Pro Bowl tight end which is redeeming in a since because Davis’ former coach, Michael Singletary, clashed with him and once even called Davis out in a press conference.
Congrats Vernon. You’ve earned it.
