The 2011 NFL season was a fantastic journey that saw some of the best football played in years. Every team (except the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts) made for some great football moments and one fan has created a sweet video showing his favorite catches from the 2011 NFL season.

Clocking in at 8 minutes +, this video pretty much encompasses it all and if you dig it you can catch more of his awesome work at his website, The Vikings World.   This guy does a sweet job editing some nice videos. Hope he goes to town on some Super Bowl videos to get us excited for the big game.

Reporting for ESPN Espanol, a reporter interviews Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in the locker room after their huge win over the Ravens that propelled New England to the Super Bowl.

Gronk went to Arizona State so you might think Big Gronk might have picked up some Spanish in his time there. Instead it seems he’s not much better than I am when it comes to the language.

The reporter talks to Gronk who does his best to interject some of the 16 Spanish words he knows into the interview.

Rob Lowe, yes the actor from various movies and the hit NBC sitcom “Parks and Rec,” has stated for some odd reason he has inside information on one of the hottest topics in the NFL.

Lowe tweeted on his personal account that he knew as a fact that Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning would retire.

I’m not sure how a sitcom actor found out the info or why we are getting our NFL news from him but in this day of modern media it probably shouldn’t shock us too much.  Why we’re listening to some actor about NFL rumors is probably not the best way to get news but ever since I won $20 on a bet thanks to a random tweet by

According to a tweet by actor Rob Lowe, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is retiring.

The rumor has been denied by Manning’s agent, as well as his father Archie, a former NFL quarterback

Although there has been zero news to confirm Lowe’s report it is nice to know the media isn’t taking it too serious. ESPN’s NFL reporter Adam Schefter trolled Lowe pretty sweet with this follow up rumor:

Saying you’re the biggest Alabama fan is quite a stretch.  The Crimson Tide have one of the largest fanbases in the world but there is one guy who stands out above the rest.

Meet Bama Superfan who has decked out his Ford truck with an interesting menagerie of odd….things.

In honor of the LSU Tigers meeting the Tide for the BCS Championship on Monday night, Bama Superfan has decorated his truck with some special kitty related treats.

Check of the video of a redneck from Alabama who parks his Tide-inspired big-ass truck in front of a Wal-mart. You can’t make this stuff up. If you live in Alabama, it might not seem that unusual.

I mean, seriously, this might be a work of art that could get some Federal funding of some sort.

The different approaches to covering the other teams prime receiver is what I believe was the huge difference maker between the NFL Wild Card game between the Lions and Saints.  Detroit would go on to lose 45-28 and here’s a brief breakdown as to why.

With two high-octane offenses, it only makes sense to put an extra eye on the prime receiver. Here’s a look at how the Lions covered TE Jimmy Graham near the endzone as compared to the Saints covering the Lions WR Calvin Johnson.

I mean, c’mon, the dude is wide open! And no, it’s not Photoshopped. Graham is wide open (see video here) and scores on this play which is not unexpected since you can tell that Brees is drooling at the line with the prospect of Graham being wide open!

Thankfully, someone recorded this event. In yesterday’s marathon between Detroit and Green Bay, a fan slipped on the field and ran around. Gratefully, the guy still had his clothes on so this isn’t one of those streaker videos.

Channeling his inner James Harrison, the Packers Brad Jones goes to work and slams the vagrant down on the turf of Lambeau Field until the cops take over.

Jones didn’t get credit for the tackle in the stat box but thankfully someone recorded the event so we know it really happened.

Hey, did you hear that the Colts finally won this weekend? We just now got the news and forgot to put it on the chart because it was Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow!

Jim Nance and Phil Simms on CBS were so busy interrupting each other just to mutter Tebow that it is starting to make me miss the days of the Brett Favre soap operas.

Oh well, the Pats came to Denver and beat the Tebows finally to end the Broncos 6 game winning streak. So I guess God really did rest on the 7th day….Zing!

The New Orleans Saints had no problem with the Minnesota Vikings in their rematch of the epic NFC Championship from a few years back. Since those Favre-ish years, the Saints have remained competitive while the Vikings struggle to compete.

Wide receiver Lance Moore of the Saints is one of the reasons the Saints have no trouble keeping their high-octane offense going. His TD catching skills are great but his celebration dances are even better.

Apparently, Moore likes to dish out obscure dances and this beauty is being called the “Down The Way” and it’s one you must watch.

The last time the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions matched up there was a bit of a pileup on Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Lions defensive stud Kyle Vanden Bosch hit Rodgers with a possible helmet-to-helmet hit on the chin.

On the radio Rodgers went out and talked about the meeting with Vanden Bosch including a nice imitation of the bald guy.

So the question went out to Vanden Bosch about what happened. Turned out that Kyle had a very similar view of the situation but with one exception. It wasn’t a hit on the chin. Everything else, oddly, was pretty much spot on!
