With the NFL Draft coming up fast it was bound to happen that some leaked Wonderlic scores would pop out. Who would score the highest, who would score the lowest?

The highest-rated cornerback in the NFL draft, LSU’s Morris Claiborne, scored a 4 out of 50 on the Wonderlic test administered to prospects at the NFL scouting combine in February, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Pro Football Talk first reported Claiborne’s test score.

Claiborne’s score is the lowest known result by a draft prospect since Iowa State running back Darren Davis reportedly received a 4 in 2000. In 2006, quarterback Vince Young, who was the third overall pick by the Tennessee Titans, reportedly scored a 6 on his initial test before retaking it and getting a 16. Quarterback Dan Marino also scored a 16 and went on to a Hall of Fame career with the Miami Dolphins.

Before you go getting thoughts that the Wonderlic test a perfect test just know that Matt Leinart got a 35 and he sucks, while HOF-er Dan Marino scored a 15.

Still, the Titans bust QB Vince Young initially got a six on his Wonderlic and even though I’ve never taken the test, I’ve been told getting a 4 is about as equivalent as signing your name, and getting it mostly right, then taking a nap.  The players are helped through the testing procedure so you have to wonder what Mo was doing during the combine.

Compared to other busts, Mo Claiborne shouldn’t fret too much. We all don’t think of LSU as a school churning out degrees for football players and “there’s the fact that JaMarcus Russell got a 24, and Ryan Leaf got a 27, only one point behind Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.”

Still, man…a ’4′! Did you even get your name right on the test?

Sadly, no matter what else Wes Welker does with his career he will always be known as dropping a key pass in the final minutes of the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.

While driving against the Giants, the Pats try to hold onto a 2-point lead. Instead, the long pass to Welker falls to the ground. Instead of getting a first down or even getting into field goal range, the Pats must punt and that results in the Giants driving for the game winning TD.

Such a key drop didn’t help the Pats but in the end all the main players left their A-game in the locker room down the stretch. Brady’s safety in the first quarter set the team back early. And all the receiver drops by Hernandez and Welker and Branch as well as the lack of play by the Gronk couldn’t’ match up to the stellar play by the Giants.

And this animated GIF says it all. During the final minutes the cameras caught the Pats defensive linemen, including #75 Vince Wilfork there in the middle, reacting to Welker’s dropped ball. Yup. That about sums it up.

Even given a totally blown call by the refs and instant replay, the Packers couldn’t find their way at all Sunday to beat the Giants. Who knew? I thought it would be a good game but I didn’t imagine the Giants owning the Pack so much at Lambeau Field.

Yeah, I think that about sums it up.

Despite backup Matt Flynn filling in for starter Aaron Rodgers and tossing 480 yards and 6 TDs, the Packers are not perfect.

They’re close.

Even when they allow the Lions to score 41 points and Lions QB Matthew Stafford throws 520 yards and 5 TDs, the Packers still find a way to win with their backups.

If there is one thing they could stand to work on it might be their special teams because the Pack let us witness one of the dumbest things you can do on a kickoff : give up a safety.

Pat Lee of the Packers makes the bonehead mistake of going out and back into the endzone on a kickoff which is a no-no with the refs.

Tsk, tsk. And the Lions get 2 points easy.

Wow! A little exposure of primetime football goes a long way. After Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was shown to enjoy a bag of Skittles during the game [story and video here] there was word that the candy maker would sponsor the athlete.

And no one is more happy about it than the Seahawks ground crew that has to pick up Skittles off the ground every time Lynch scores as ‘Hawks fans now toss them on the field. Here’s a picture of them hating their life.

Flashforward a few weeks and it appears to be taken to a new level as the Beast Mode RB now has the shoes to match. Nike created a special edition of Marshawn Lynch Skittles cleats to be used for his game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Tim Tebow may have only been in the league for less then two years but you would might think ESPN had nothing to talk about before his arrival.

ESPN knows a ratings maker when they see it and with the drama of Brett Favre over with they had to fill the void. And fill the void they did. Enter Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos.

Tim Tebow is all the channel can talk about and that includes ex-Bronco and current ESPN NFL analyst Mark Schlereth along with his ESPN buddies giving us the Tim Tebow “Night Before Christmas” parody.

We know you didn’t ask for it but it’s here anyway. Think of it like that lame business Christmas party you have to go to and get a lame Secret Santa gift and just go ahead and get it over with.

Ah yeah, Roddy White is paying huge divadends lately for my fantasy team. After a slower then expected start to the season, in which White only scored 3 TD’s and had one 100-yard game in the first 11 games, Roddy has turned it on and matched that effort in just the last 3 weeks.

The Atlanta Falcons got their Bye Week on primetime this week as the Jacksonville Jaguars, the saddest franchise in professional sports, derped their way into Hot-lanta to try and upend the Falcons.

Powered by Matt Ryan’s 3 TD’s, the Falcons obliterated the Jags 41-14 on Thursday Night football. Roddy himself grabbed 2 TD’s and 135 yards. The best one was this nab in the endzone that saw a pass that could have been for White or maybe Tony Gonzalez.

Well, we all knew it wasn’t going to be Matt Leinart to lead the Texans to their first playoff spot ever.  Seriously, think about that. The team has never made it to the post-season and after a solid start to the year the Texans ran face-first into the IR bus.

QB Matt Schaub went out a few weeks ago and Iron-man Matt Leinart came in to keep the fire going. Leinart lasted about 3 quarters because he’s a wuss who is content to ride the bench. He reminds me more of the character Alex Moran from “Blue Mountain State” who’s there just for the glory.

So enter third stringer T.J. Yates. The man stepped up and kept the Texans going and late in the 4th quarter did what we all were hoping for….he got that elusive playoff berth with a win.

And what better way to show it than the game-winning TD mixed in with some epic music.

Well, that didn’t last long.

The self-anointed Dream Team in Philly can take a break from their horrible season. Turns out they could not recover from their bad start and with a month left in the season are already eliminated from the playoffs with their 31-14 loss to Seattle Thursday night.

It’s only fitting to see first round cast off Vince Young, the guy who helped promote the Dream Team name, be the guy who helped drive the final nail in the Eagles coffin. Young was filling in for an injured Michael Vick in position only and tossed 4 INT’s in a horrible effort that showed why he was no longer a Titan. Well, that and his immaturity on the sidelines and locker room.

Oddly enough the Eagles and Seahawks were both 4-7 on the season going into the game. Neither seem to have what it takes to make the playoffs but the two teams are going in opposite directions.

The Seahawks have won 3 of their last 4 thanks in large part to the awakening of Marshawn Lynch who has rattled off several 100+ yard games in that time including 148 against the Eagles.

The Eagles and their large payroll of free agents have lost 4 of their last five. Their biggest catch, Nnamdi Asomugha, has been mostly absent all year. Michael Vick has fought with injuries, something anyone who has seen him play in his time in Atlanta can tell you isn’t a shock but what is shocking is the laze and unprofessional play of DeSean Jackson.

OK dude, we get it. You want a new contract. That doesn’t mean you act like a spoiled baby on the sideline and a laze wuss on the field.

The Eagles have been dealt a full dose of bad luck this year but the fact remains that this team should have been a contender no matter what. And in the end the fall guy might just be the man who couldn’t handle the talent, coach Andy Reid.  So much for the Dream Team. It’s been more like a nightmare in Philly.
